hi peter this clear pipe is connected to the elbow fitting at the top of the hot water tank. clear pipe goes up from t joint and red hot water pipe goes down from joint. the drain valve is working ok,Are you sure the clear pipe is not the drain pipe for heater? Inside the van on the other end of pipe is a drain valvewhich could be open.I did it last week!,took me a couple of minutes to work it out.

HI NIGEL, HAVE A FULL BREAK DOWN PICTURE OF TRUMA ULTRASTORE HEATER + PARTS LIST. IT IS DOWN AS BREATHER /CONDENSATION TUBE.Alistair pretty sure you have the drain valve open, like peter say's, look under the offside front bed, locate the truma heater if its the drain valve and check whether it is open.

HI RAY I DID TAKE THE CONNECTOR OFF AND THERE WAS NOTHING INSIDE, I DID EXPECT TO FIND SOME KIND OF VALVE INSIDE.I CHECKED PIPE IN CASE IT HAD MOVED BUT NOTHING, PARTS LIST HAS NO LISTING OF VALVE IN THE CONNECTOR. IS THIS VALVE IN THE CLEAR BREATHER PIPE?If the hot water is not leaking from the drain valve - i.e. the one with the yellow handle, then it is probably coming from a clear pipe which leaves the top of the heater - on my van through a red right-angle connector. There is a small valve inside this part which an occaisionally stick, particularly if you have been in a hard water area.
It is fairly easy to change, and the new valve and tube comes as a package. However, before doing this, try giving this red component a few sharp taps with something like a screwdriver handle - it's worked for me several times.
