Hi all

I've read the threads regarding the Powrtouch movers with much interest. They really seem to offer a great product with first class service. However, I would like to hear from anyone who has the Truma SE which seems to be similar. Is it worth the extra money (nearly double if recent posts are anything to go by). Any advice would be most welcome, so I can weigh up the pros and cons before parting with my hard earnt cash!

Cheers

Dave.

We have the Truma SE fitted to our Senator Oklahoma. It works well. Some years ago, when I first considered having a mover fitted, I talked to our local, family-owned, dealer. I have bought a number of caravans from them and they wouldn't bullsh*t me. They recommended Truma. They said they had had to weld a number of Reichs and wouldn't recommend them. I, personally, wasn't impressed by the finish of Powertouch units. They all seemed to be affected by rust!

I do like the alloy rollers fitted to the Truma but I think the other manufacturers might also use them now.

Powrtouch do now use the alloy rollers

The 5 year warranty on Powrtouch is not at extra cost

There have been thousands of posts regarding movers over the years. Not once, until Malcolm Ls post about rust, have I seen a negative comment about PowrTouch.

I've got a Truma and their aftersales is C R A P and I know that from experience .

Before we bought our Powrtouch recently we did a bit of legwork on other makes 2 of our local dealers wouldnt recommend other makes They said if there was ever a problem with other manufacturers they as dealers and presumably bigger buying power couldnt get in touch with them to try and get faults corrected but not so with Powrtouch aftersales was really good

One but only one of the reasons we went with Powrtouch

Have had the powertouch for 4 years towing 12 months a year included gritted roads where there is a lot of saly spray and have not had a problem (nor heard of) with rust, Rollers are alloy. All external parts are painted to protect and as long as you grease and clean them as instructed no problems.
