re 1st august querie.

thanks to Glenn who solved my problem of no heat on mains, after removing the pcb from the rear of the fire(fiddly job unless you remove the fire,as mine is in sideboard cupboard but can be done, would be easy if fitted in a wardrobe as it could easily reached by removing inside wardrobe base).i bought 3 new relays(ref no.N30AW) from Maplin electronics at £1-98 each, and not having a small soldering iron i took the pcb and relays to a small tv repair shop, who did the job for £10.on reassembly the heater worked perfectly, total cost £16.

whilst on holiday in the new forest my truma water heater would fire up on gas, then after a few minutes would go out,on speaking to a truma tech.on the phone one suggestion was a possible bad earth ,itook a length of cable from the negative terminal and wrapped it round a metal part of the water heater,on relighting the gas the problem vanished,i removed the cable and the heater has worked perfectly ever since, worth a try if you suffer this problem.
