Help to decide which please.

We want to buy a mover for a twin axle. We are not sure to go for the Truma TE or the Pwrtouch AWD.

Your comments good or bad please.

Thanks

Truma looks better and is lighter, l have the truma s, mind you loads on here go for the Power Touch as they say after sales and service is better, not so sure as l believer Power Touch is now owned by Truma.

pwrtouch,

I have had one for 6 trouble free years it's been on two vans now. The customer service is second to none and the product itself is smoother and easier to work with. For me it's a no brainer

Its surprising how many powetouch owners praise the after sales/back up, which yes is good, but then the product has BROKEN, or am i missing something?

Had my Reich fitted in 2004, never needed to test the backup, but had to change the pp3 battery in the remote this year.

There are a lot cheaper systems available today, shop round and compare the product before you buy, i compared the powertouch to the reich in 2004, but were about 1 year in use, the reich appeared to be better made, and had weathered the better of the two.

But like i have said, things move on, i would once again be comparing build quality, against price, and warranty.

I bought the Truma te because it is lightweight, electric soft start from remote so no bending to engage, price was right and also because OH said the grey cover matched our van decals,

Like Ray with his Reich I have never had to test the quality of the back up, as in 2 years I have had it it has never malfunctioned once ,and I use it every trip to get it out the drive ,I must add that I use the van almost every other weekend so it gets some use , if I had bought a Powr Touch it seems I would be on first name terms with there service department !!!!

I have the Truma (Twin Axle) for three years, and now I am having problems, it keeps cutting out or not even fuctioning. Sometimes it works, somtimes it does not. Even after disconnecting the battery and doing a reset. I wish I had gone for Pwrtouch. Any ideas guys, Thanks

I had the same problem with My Rhyno. With help from them it turned out that the caravan chargers are not very good. They should charge the battery up to 13.8V but it only charges to 12.9V. I bought a smart charger and no problems since.

I would put money on it that it's the caravan battery that's the problem. Ours did the same until I bought a new one. No problems since - and ours is now five years old.
