Truma ultra flow housing

Having problem with pump switching on & off , it’s not pump I think smart switch seems working ok, could fault be in truma ultra flow housing nrv, if so could I insert inline nrv ,David

Simple answer is yes if you fit it in, but it will need to be on the pump side of the pressure switch to lock the pressure in the system.

No just the smartswitch

Hi David, There is no NRV in the housing, . It should be further up the system. Which caravan do you have.
Truma Ultraflow operates in the caravan water supply as a
pressurised system. The optional available Truma Smart
Switch (2) includes an electronically controlled pressure
switch. The pressure switch turns the water pump on and off
regardless of the momentary atmospheric pressure and bat-
tery power (between 10 V and 14 V).
To prevent an excessive high pressure in the system,
the use of a non-return valve (spring weighed – see
accessories) in front of the water heater is essential.
The non-return valve (5) must be fitted between the drain
valve and the first “T” connection. This also prevents the back
flow of hot water to the cold water taps.

Have you check both drain valves, and also the seals on your pump connection to the caravan. It sounds like a slow leak somewhere.

no leaks ,there must be something in housing to keep pressure in cold water feed as there is nothing in flexible pump hose & pump. Ie it seems to get pressure up switch off release pressure & start up all the time
