Truma Ultrastore

Hi all,

Just wondering if approx 2 mins is a normal sort of time to only be getting hot watter for? just bought a 2009 bailey, whcih is fittied with a truma ultrastore. however, upon testing the shower, it only provided approx 2 mins wirth of hot water.

is this normal?

cheers

Hi gdallas.
We also have a 2009 Bailey and its about the same amount of time with ours too if we just run it on electric only.
If we use shower,we have it running on gas and electric at the same time, but have the shower on a low setting.
Basically,we soak ourselves first, soap all over, then rinse off.
Can easily get 2 or maybe 3 showers out of one aquaroll.
Adrian.
(Oh.....we shower seperatly by the way...lol. Too old now for that sort of thing)

You have to remember that once the Ultrastore is up to temperature, and that is 70 degrees if on electric, or a variable from 50 to 70 degrees depending what you have the thermostat set to, you have 10 litres of hot water.
As soon as you open the hot tap, the hot water is replaced by cold, which needs heating and takes time.

If your pump is rated at, for instance, 7 ltrs/min, then a couple of minutes and your 10 ltrs has gone.

You cannot run a van shower in the same way as a domestic home shower.
