Trumatic S3002 automatic ignition problem

Hello all.

I am new to caravanning and this site.

Have just purchased a used Abbey GTS Vogue 416 with which I am very happy.

One problem concerning the Gas fire. It works fine on the electric hook up but out of curiosity I wanted to try the gas.

Nothing happened when I pushed down the auto ignition knob.

I removed the cover to check the battery. There was one there but when I removed the battery casing a single wire became disconnected.

On the back of the battery box is a multi connect which is OK.

There are 2 further single spade connectors adjacent to this multi point and a further single spade in the middle (think it may be earth)

Can someone advise which one I need to connect the single wire to ?

I know this is a bit of a long winded request but please be patient with me as I am a new caravanner.

Many thanks in advance

Bob

The wire goes to the single connector, which should have a lightning strike symbol near it indicating it is the spark electrode point.

Change the battery for a new one.

There are 2 single connections either side of the symbol - Do I connect to either one ?

I will certainly change the battery .

The smaller two pin connector goes to the microswitch in the gas valve, the larger one is for those hard of hearing to fit an led in the casing to see when ignitor is firing
