Tubular storage on bike rack

Hi everyone. I have seen quite a few people using one or even two pieces of large diameter plastic pipe to store groundsheets, parasols etc fitted inside the main loop of bike racks. Last week I saw a guy in France with two of them but quite large diameters. They appear to have securable end pieces. Any idea on where I can get such things? I tried B&Q and Wickes but they either don't do large diameter pipe or don't have end fixings. Your advice is appreciated.
 
PLastic pipe up to at least 150 mm diameter is readily available doing a quick google search. Don’t know about secure end caps though.
 
4" sewer pipe cut to length, 2 off, end caps (eBay @ £7.99 each) you could apply Plumbing solder one end making that end permanent and the other self-tapped or bolted as the opening end. sand & spray your colour.
