turma ultra store

hello, i can't get the turma water heater to work in my caravan, when i try it on thegas it kind of clicks then about10 seconds later the fault light comes on, when i try eletric the switch lights up but no hot water, there is water in the tank and the taps work fine, please help

Mine took ages to light on gas, every time the fault light came on I left it for about 30 seconds and tried again, took about 8 or 9 attempts before it finally fired up! I had never used mine on gas before so I guess it was just a matter of waiting until all of the air had bled out of the gas pipe.

Keep trying, it should work eventually!

HI! Jeff it might be that there is an inline fuse blown somewhere in the wiring to your waterheater or on your van you might have to remove a external cover on your heater somewhere as you have to do with your fridge when you put it on gas.just an idea. try the fusebox under your front seat lefthand side (swift ) thats where mine is

cheers Duggie

Jeff, you have to remove the outside flue cover for the gas side to work, and make sure the gas isolation tap is in the ON position

The clunk you hear is the gas valve opening, then a 10 second ignition cycle.

If it fails, it is more than likely just the gas has not purged the pipework, try again, maybe several times.

As for the electric side, it is not instant hot water, it takes about 30 to 40 minutes to heat the whole tank, but if it not heating then it is most likely heating element has failed.

If all else fails get a Truma authorised engineer to look at it.
