Turning a twin axle caravan

Hi all, we take delivery of our new twin axle conqueror in a few weeks, we are having our 18 month old mover fitted to the van, but need to turn the caravan in quite a tight space, before hand, any hints and tips are appreciated!

Make sure that the mover is compatible for a t/a. We changed our van for a twin last year, fortunately we had a Power touch 4 on the van , but we had to get a new control unit (cost
 
Hi folks, I remember seeing a t/a van turned by placing 2 sheets of hardboard, smooth faces together, under 1 pair if wheels, and then pivoted, (with a bit of effort)!, if nothing else turns up it might a try!

This is probably me being dense, but can you not tow/move the van straight out of the tight space , turn it around somewhere wider and then tow/move it back in the other way around? Sorry if this is a stupid suggestion, I'm not a spatial thinker.
 
Hi

I bought a TA last March, we have found that its easier to spin the van by hand, but if you are on soft ground, thats almost impossible. As for a twin mover, only ever seen one work, that worked brilliantly, got into a space just big enough for the van, without any scuffing of the tyres.

i have a twin axle without a motor mover and i find turning it realatively easy as long as u raise the front of yr van up to take the weight of yr front set of wheels, hope this helps?
 
Hi all, thank you very much for your help and advice, we have to tow the van off a very busy main road, then spin it round on the drive, your suggestions sound really practical and should definately do the trick till we get the mover fitted!
