TV AERIEL AND MAST

we have recently purchased a free view box and our current in-door aeriel is not receiveing a great picture. Currently looking into an aerial and mast package however, not surewhich would be the best option - Mast to attach onto caravan awning rail, mast and ground spike, or aeriel which stick onto side of caravan with rubber suckers - I am quite keen on the mast and ground spike however any advide and guidance of stores which sell these items would be of great help.

Hello Mark,

This site gives a lot of information on aerials and masts.

It also gives a "where to buy" giving locations around the country so you should find a local dealer.

I fitted a Uni-Bracket and Plate to the side of the caravan.

I used white gaffer tape to form a pad on the side panel and fixed the plate onto the pad. That way I can remove the plate without marking the side of the caravan.

Go to the front page under Buying a caravan, click on Product tests, again against jan 05 portable tv aerials, this will help regarding the various aerials on offer, found it very helpfull. mine is fixed to a mast attached to the jockey wheel.
