We are planning a trip to a site (we have a 2007 Swift Charisma) which states that TV reception is poor. Can you chaps shed some light on the following statememts from the CC Directory and what if anything extra we may need, given that there is (I think)a booster system already installed in the caravan?

Booster System Available

Booster System Required

Booster System Lead Required

What you refere to in the caravan is probably the power pack for the van ariel not a booster. i got a plug through mains booster which i keep in the van for when needed, I plug it into the mains then plug the ariel into in and plug the TV in so I dont need an extra mains socket. I also have an external extension lead to hook up to the sites Bollard.

Booster System available means the site electric bollards have a TV Ariel point on. If you have a Digital TV you may also get freeview or similar from this. You will need a length of coaxial cable with the correct ends to go into the bollard and into your tv. These are usually sold on site. You can make one up think mine is 25 meters long. Once made or bought store in van for future use.

We may have just been unlucky but we didn't get a better reception with the booster system at Sheepcote Valley CC Site or at Longleat CC site :(

Now thinking of investing in satellite TV for the van.
