i am on the verge of buying the status 530/18 arial for my caravan because the 1 on the van is completly a waste of time and useless.just wondering about the freeview box we was thinking about getting the bush dfta 1001 scart adapter.would this replace the box and would we get all the channels that are available.also we saw a caravan with a arial mast in a brackett that was connected to the jockey wheel this would save so much time.but dont no where we can purchase this bracket.has any 1 tried this idea if so good or bad all help would be greatful..we are all learning somethink new every time you go out in the van

thanks to all

I have no idea! BUT, if you re-post under equipment and accessories, you will probably get more replies. Hope you sort it, happy viewing!

Digital tv is a politically driven event - so that the frequencies can be sold off once analogue is switched off.

If you get poor reception from the Status mushroom, the directional 530 will improve things but it is estimated that 60+% of sites won't get a digital signal because they're concentrated around centres of population.

Map simulations for digital assume a 10m high aerial, caravans have 3m high aerials so WE won't get a decent service at all.

Freesat or Freesat From Sky may give a more reliable signal for many caravanners but trees do get in the way!
