Twin axle caravan storage

Can anyone explain what is behind charging more for twin than single axle at storage sites? I have been informed a storage site in Yeadon West Yorkshire is not renewing twin axle agreements and a new site opening shortly (Bradford Caravan Storage) has a price per pitch and you put whatever size of caravan/motorhome you want on it?
Valuables inside would be similar and single axles go to over 20K in value?
Confused in Yorkshire lol

They do it because they can. Very annoying as some single axle caravans are just as long or even longer as a twin axle.

It could be that twin axles are usually heavier than single axle vans and if it is grass storage could do more damage to the grass but having said that my own storage site does not disciminate

Another example of caravan rip off!

many singles are heavier than some twins.
My storage does not charge any extra for size.
