Why o why are they so difficult to find 2nd Hand!!!

Can't justify £1000 for a new one, where do people find them from other than Preloved or Ebay!!

Hi,

Their scarcity on the second-hand market probably indicates how useful and effective people find them. I've not been counting but look at almost any thread relating to caravan movers and you usually find more than one reply extolling the virtues or ownership.

I think you will just have to keep looking and hoping, meanwhile keep saving and you will probably find you will have saved enough to buy a new one by the time a good second-hand one is available.

Anyone (like me ) who has one will probably switch it to their new van when changing vans or when selling up will include it in the van sale to get a better price and easier sale. I don't imagine many will find their way onto the second hand market.
You'll just need to splash the cash!!

We paid £1000 for our single axle Reich mover 4 years ago,new fitted at dealer. I am led to believe that a twin axle one costs around £1700, (as I have looked to upgrade to twin axle Bessacar) or am I misinformed.
That said just go for it, if you can, it's one of the best things we ever did and yes we will probably have it transferred to next van if we stay single axle, costs around £200 at my local dealer.

We bought an E-go caravan mover for £599 and OH fitted it himself in about half a day - with some assistance from Mrs Labourer holding and passing things. It's fantastic!

We transferred ours from our old van, we don't tend to use it much now though it's worth carrying that extra weight for the few times it's needed, so as others have said, looks like it's a new one for you!! have you contacted Powrwheel? they at one time offered interest free credit on their mover....

I recently purchased a heavyduty Pwrtouch for my twin which only operates on one axle. Best assessory for the van I have purchased by far. Yes it cost a few bob but it was worth every penny in saved backache and earache from she who will be obeyed on site (it needs to go a little further to the left... no not there thats too much) Phew!

In the end (and with persistence), i managed to find a brand new Truma TE mover for £550...

Fitted it myself in a couple of hours, have to say it's a superb piece of kit....no more pushing for me!

I've taken it off today ready for my new Van...all that effort to fit and then the Mrs decides she wants a fixed bed.

Hope i don't bash my thumb again....it's still black from last time
