Hi, sorry to repeat any previous posts but I'm becoming more confused by the different answers I'm getting. The caravan is a 1991 Compass Rallye 430/2. The tyres are Kumho 175R13C (new).

Written on the sidewall-max. load single 670kg at 54 psi. also 94/92P. The MTPLM of the caravan is 1100 kg and we will be towing at around 1000 kg. The dealer recommended 55 psi but when I do the calculation posted by RogerL I get 43. I really want to get this right because I will be doing high mileage on holiday this year.

TIA

Brian

Clear up the two weight ratings first, 94 as a single tyre and 92 run as a pair side by side, (twin wheel rather than twin axle)

So for your single axle van 94 applies, taking 670kg = 94 your calculation of 44psi for an all up weight of 1100kg is correct and 40psi at 1000kg.

Given the two tyres carry a maximum of 1340kg, then they are also working well within there capabilities and more than obeying the 10% reduction recomendation.

Brian, I know I'm not supposed to advertise but I have a brand new {pipe delimiter}Maxmiler 175-13C 94N on a wheel if you are interested. I no longer need it as my new van has 14 inch wheels. Ray
