I need two new tyres, so as you do, I looked on the web for all the sooper cheap deals and made 3 calls to various national tyre companies.

I then phoned a local independent company, and saved £16 on each tyre for exactly the same make, size and speed rating, I'm getting them fitted on Monday.

No they are not cheap inports but I'm told many are, beware.

I fully agree with you Chris.

It is much more common now to get better deals from small independent outlets than the On Line or National outlets.
