Tyre weights

The tyre on its own will be somewhere in the region of 4-6 kg, add a wheel to that and you have a total of around 14 kg's. It will vary with brand, style and wear of course. A cheap and cheerless tyre from China will weigh considerably more than an equivalent sized Michelin.
