I am not going to quibble bed lengths, however the latest cataloque indicates a bed length of 188 cms, or even 177 cms upwards for some models. That is not 6ft 6 ins in my calculator. My only point is that size does matter somewhere, a small van has to make compromises and if you are happy with it, then go for it. I am not over 6ft tall but a bed that is shorter than normal does not make me feel comfortable, that is my choice and I work around it.

As already mentioned I have admiration for the build of Eriba's but do not feel they are for me, and yes, I did look at them but both my wife and I walked away. We purchased a continental van from another source.

As far as I am aware Eriba is a part of the Hymer group of Companies so will adopt any areas of common concern. I believe it is still built in Holland but obviously has the German control at the end of the day. As long as it is profitable, who really cares.

Hi Scotch Lad,

The Eriba pop-top factory is in France (close to Royan I think) and there are factory tours - watching the cage frame being welded up - then given it's zinc phosphate coat - then the aluminium panels, the GRP roof fitted, insulation, and interior - then the appliances and lockers enter via the caravan door and are screwed to the steel framework.
