Hi,

We are due to buy a Bailey Pageant Provence and want an awning. We have a 2 year old so would like the extra space. We have looked at the full awnings however think they are a bit expensive as we are only just starting off so we have looked at the Ultima 390. Does anyone know if they fit on the above caravan?

Hi Helen.

You don't say if you will be buying a new or old Pageant but you shouldn't have a problem with the Ultima so long as the top of your awning rail is completely level i.e. doesn't slope down towards the front of the van.

Hi Helen,

Yes, it`ll fit on your `van with no bother, but it will partly cover the the nearside front side window.

We saw some on sites and they looked great, and read nothing but good reports, so we bought one (lovely burgundy).

Anyway, used it once, (three nights) and just didn`t like it at all. Took me longer to put up than my previous full Isabella, but yes it`s about a tenth of the price, so I`m going to get rid.

They are very light, plenty of space, and I suppose I`m in the minority, but hey ho.

Helen,

Have you thought of buying a used awning from a dealer such as Glossop Caravans. There are other dealers who sell good used awnings.You can save a lot of money. With the length of caravans varying so much, when people change their caravans they often have to trade in their awning. You can often pick up good used ones a couple of years old.
