Will a single "adhesive" Uni - bracket be sufficient to support a Status 530/18/2 (430) aerial, on a single pole, 1 m in length at full extension ???
The bracket will be fixed to a vertical flat surface, with the bracket being the only support, ie the pole will not be touching the floor.

I am looking at this as an option, as connecting it to my jockey wheel has become a bit of a faff, with the aerial no higher than the van roof.

Hi Mat
I have a Status pole mounted 430 and the uni-bracket clamps on to the awning rail (one part of the jaw in the rail),I have purchased an extra pole length to reach the ground.

In answer to my question .... NO
The manufacturers confirmed that the adhesive is "permanent" and will in itself withstand the weight.
The bracket is the weakness and will twist, thus not holding the mast and aerial straight.
The bracket is only a way of attaching the mast to the side of the caravan and not a load bearing component.
One bracket is adequate if the other end of the pole is touching the floor.

Defeats my aim, but better than what i was using.

Dave,

Thanks for the reply, i must have been upating as you were typing.

With the three poles the aerial is above any obstruction on the careavan roof, especially now that i have removed the status 315 mushroom.
