Username/Real name

I was just carrying out a forum search and found one of my own posts. Under the "posted by" bit it did not have my user name "mel" but my first name. I did a few more, and found that it consistently posted first names not user names. I don't really mind but it seems to defeat the point of having anonymous user names. Has it always done this?

Mel, being new to this Mod game I can't answer your problem (yet) - As you will see in another thread in a posting from Damian, the database we have to deal with is - to put it politely - not very user friendly, and i have yet to work out the logical connection between log in name and actual names. Quite a lot of folk have user names that are nothing like their email addres names.

We are promised an all-new site in which such problems should - hopefully - have been resolved.
