Using "Search" facility

When I try to use the forum Search facility, it tells me that my search has produced results but does not tell me what they are. Am I doing something wrong ?

No, you are not doing anything wrong

The search engine for this forum is obsolescent and nobody fully understands how to make it work to it's full potential.

If there is anything in particular that you are searching for please let me know what it is , preferably with some clues on where to start looking i.e. when it was posted approximately or which section to begin my search in.

Thanks, Parksy,for your response. I recently stopped using the dolly wheel socket for a 2" dia mast for my satellite dish, and I merely wanted to browse through past postings on some of the ingenious things that people have done to provide themselves with a good serviceable tripod. No big deal, really, as commercial ones are not too out-of-the-way.
