just bought a hand vacuum from lidl, only £14.99, just road tested it on the lounge carpet and its seems a good little vacuum, thought i would share this info with fellow members

ours cost £1.99 from wilko's and is attached to a long wooden handle, good thing about it is, it has many uses like holding up the awning rails while I struggle with the legs

That looks to have quite a good working time, it's quoting 30mins of use & a 18.5v battery, you were lucky to get 10 to 15mins max a few years ago before the battery went flat, although storage could be a problem on some of the smaller vans.
