hye

im thinking of buying a bailey ranger 2 birth with a max weight of 1131kg. would i be able to tow this with my vauxhall astra 1.7 diesel. or is there any one else out there useing a astra and can give me some advice. i have towed trailors before big and small but never a caravan.

Wayne - I used a '00 Astra 1.8 petrol automatic, kerb 1254kg, to tow our 1218kg Pageant for 7 years. Stability was excellent despite a 97% towing ratio.

The 1.7DTi has about the same torque as my 1.8 petrol but down somewhat on power.
