Venice

We're thinking of going to Italy, near Venice to be precise. Punta Sabbioni or that sort of area to be precise. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

a good web site to use for sites in italy is www.camping.it breaks the country into regions with sites in each region.Check out camping bungalow park tahiti in ferrera about 60 miles south of vinice been to it going again this year great for kids would be hard pressed to find a site better for money

WE love Venice and have been many times. We use Camping Ca'Savio and book through the Caravan Club. Like many Italian sites the pitches can be tight but we get our large twin axle in, sometimes with help from the other campers. The site is large but split into sections. It is just behind the dunes and you can be in the sea within 5 mins. of your 'van. It is also 5 mins drive from Punta Sabbioni for the ferry into Venice istself. Have a look at the web site. Happy Travels BarryB

Take note that the Caravan Club won`t take bookings for Ca`Savio for twin axles in the high season. This is a new addition in the Travel Service brochure this year.
