I have used the same vet for the past 2 years. Easiest way to find her is via www.calais.ws. Search for Vets and you are directed to "pages jeune". Click on veterinaires praticiens. The vet i use is Christiane Petry, 1148 bd de General de Gaulle. She is very au fait with the Pet Passport. I write to her in advance and tell her what times I need to comply and she will make an appointment for you. Her surgery is easy to find and you can park right outside. Her charge this year was 41.80 euros

You don't need to use a vet in Calais - we did for the first few trips and never since.

We found the best thing to do [ as we didn't like staying in the Clais area ] was to book a vet at a town like Soissons - fantastic Municipal Site and a good vet there - all we had to do was tell them what time the ferry was - and hey presto the appointment was made .

Costs do seem to vary a lot - so beware of that - sometimes even in the same Vet Practice.

We have found that many vets have excellent English - and indeed some have studied over in the UK too.

Frankly I would not bother making the appointment at this end - just go and visit on your first day over there and have a look at Practices.

We always caused laughter as our dog pulled us INTO the vet's surgery - they said he was a good advert :D

hello Kevin.

no need to get lost in Calais to find a vet. We finish our holidays at "Chateau Gandspette", about 30 km from Calais - near St Omer. To the vet: at camp exit turn left, over roundabout and the vet is on the right just before the Champion supermarket. There is a blue cross sign at his garden entrance.

Safe journey, Illy
