VW Passat 1.9 tdi 110

I have been towing a similar weight rig, 1300Kg MPLM with a 115BHP, 1.9TDI Passat. It towed effortlessly returning an average of 32 MPG on a trip to France last year. My only concern has been a very juddery clutch after a long hard tow, I have learned to cope with it, but was a bit worreying at first. Once the engine is cold again, the cluitch is OK. My friendly VW mechanic suggests its nothing to worry about its just the clutch parts expanding unevenly when hot, and as I now know how to deal with the situation he suggests I leave well alone. This situation is probably peculiar to my car, and personally I would have no hessitation in buying another Passat. Its a good solid and economical car all round.

Cheers
