Hi 96kW converts to 128bhp. Again you would have to check your specific models details but it looks like you will have unladen weight of about 1680kg with a towing limit of 2000kg
Again you haven't actually told us the MTPLM of the caravan, but the 2010 according to a Practical Caravan article suggests the model has an MTPLM of 1300kg
All this suggest the weight ratios should be fine (circa 77%). The power output should also be fine.
I tow with a Renault Espace with a 115bhp, and whilst it won't show a Buggati Veyron a clean pair of heels it does tow very competently. I would guess that the Sharan also being a similar large MPV will also be a competent tow vehicle.
