One for Roger maybe.
Thinking about my knee replacement I need to change the access to the socket. It currently sits vertically hidden by the rear bumper. Is it possible to have it moved to a visible horizontal position? I can then attach the plug without kneeling on the floor. Not worried about “ Clean looks”! It’s a Westfalia.

Sounds feasible - just a matter of using the right bracket although you might need to "design" it yourself - I can't tell directly as I have the factory-fit electrically-deployable towbar with the socket horizontal above the swan-neck.

Thanks Chaps,
Mine is a detachable swan neck. However I never bother to detach it so I can so no reason why the mounting plate couldn’t be attached the way Roger’s is. Also good thoughts from Rob. I’ll see my towbar chap and see what he can come up with👍👍

BB is yours horizontal or vertical. Kills my knees to reach mine tucked way up out of site. So stupid!

Hi,
The socket may be designed for vertical installation to maintain it's IP integrity.Horizontal installation may jeopordise the IP rating.ie it might not have the same ingress rating. - Worth checking.

I sympathise with the problem. Mine is also below the bumper but swings down for use, still a swine to get at. Audiorob, is the way forward if you have a fixed swanneck.

Otherwise get a Disco! 😛

like yours is horizontal and easily accessed without kneeling / lying on the ground to see it?
