Vx Meriva 55kg Nose Weight limit

We are soon to be caravanners and have a Vx Meriva 1.6 16v Design with a nose weight limit of 55kg. Other aspects are ok for a lightweight 2 berth with a kerbside weight of 1300kg and manufacturers braked towing limit of 1200kg. Even at 85% it is 1105kg. That is all ok.

Are we going to have a problem finding a van and towing within this 55kg nose weight limit?

Can anyone advise please.

I currently tow a 1300kg caravan behind a 1.7CDTI Meriva. It just takes a bit of extra juggling around with the load inside to be within the 55kg noseweight limit.

I think there are some vans which may suit, for example many Avondales have their gas bottle locker on the side rather than at the front, thereby reducing noseweight.Also Avondale spare wheels are often stored in the floor of the van behind the axle, so that is another few kgs off the front. I am not sure if any other manufacturers have followed suit, but the may be the way to go.
