hi, my wee wummin is outside clearing our driveway of the heavy snowfall to enable her to get out to work in the wee small hours. i have just paused my dvd and had a keek outside to monitor her progress, the wee soul is doin really well and has managed to make headway. without being tarred as a softy in here from some of the guys, do you think i should maybe offer her a wee warm cuppa of something ?, just to keep her enthusiasm up.

i really need to get back to the film i am watchng from the couch, dont want to lose touch with the story, so do any of you have any quick methods of supplying a wee warm drink ?.

cheers.

You 'paused by your DVD'???

Does this mean that Scotland now has electricity?

Amazing!

Any more Sassenach inventions that have gained popularity in Scotland? (apart frae, 'the brew', of course)

Dear Highlander, how idle can you get?

It doesn't take more than a few seconds to fill the kettle and switch it on. As soon as it's boiled just open the window and shout and tell her. She will be glad of the change by making a brew because shovelling gets boring. Just give some gentle hints that you're thirsty by panting or hanging out your tongue and I'm sure she'll make you one also even if it's to get back in your good favour after forgiving her for her past transgressions.

Don't forget to thank her for clearing the drive when you go and inspect it and don't be too critical. If she's missed some snow let her leave it until the following morning. Afterall, you might have more snow during the night and she'll need all her strength to clear that away.

Regards, Uncle Windy.

Do you not have hot water on tap in Scotland then or fast elecric kettles?

Or are we really to believe that you are actually a useless idle tosser who really does little or f-all for his partner and can't turn a tap on or fill a kettle without help or someone to hold your hand and give you guidance? :)

Just asking.

Mulled wine is quite nice. I bought Phil a few bottles the other week but left them in the van 100 miles away. Oh well.

Nite nite.

although your very considerate to her needs I think its better to let her keep working a sweat up rather than stop to make a drink and stiffen up.By the time shes finished the snow and made the tea you might need a different DVD as well.

fair point dave, but before i sent her out on this task i made sure of two things, 1, she had an extra dose of her meds to stave off the stiffening up.

2, i got her to lay a nice wee row of my fav dvds on my drinks cabinet next to my big chair.

as in any job dave, its the preparation that makes it a success.

your right,a job well planned is a job half done so youve already done your share of the work.
