Well after many years of caravanning am hanging my awning screws up,have enjoyed it but now notice that the caravan trade,sites,etc,are puting our pastime into the hands of the super rich.Best tip to anyone buying a caravan,,,never never buy a new one,or from adealer,who invariably rips you off...took my 1 year van back to him,I paid 14,800...he offered me 8,000...sold privatly to a lucky and clever chap...anyway hope you all have a great holiday....and yes I will join Jeremy Clarkstons merry men.....joking...all the best

Hi Alan

That's a shame you are giving up. Our caravan trips are sacrosanct and I couldn't imagine life without it.

Perhaps if I get too old I may think of a motorhome , but caravanning is our passion.

Yes have not meet a dealer yet hat does not rip you off.

That goes for trade in on any thing from caravans to cars pay tip top price and get half when you trade it in if your luckey.

alan, i've been caravanning for nineteen years but about 3 years ago after a week away in the caravan desided that that was it , things going wrong with the caravan , 3 teenagers not happy going away , petrol cost,s etc , etc....sold caravan , 4 weeks later bought new caravan...i love, its in the blood better than in the bank...you'll be back...see you soon.........pete
