Water in shower tray after towing

I am experiencing a strange problem. When touring France earlier this year we found that when we had reached a site there was evidence of water in the shower tray. ( we have a Bailey Pageant Bordeaux S5) We prepare the van for towing which includes emptying the toilet, water is disconnected, taps are in the off position. On arrival at new location we have found evidence of water in the shower tray It is not a vast amount but enough to cause some concern. It is not easy to identify whether it is plain water, or from the toilet. I have carried out a physical check of the toilet and found no evidence of a leak. We have tried travelling with the plug in the shower tray to elimninate water sloshing back up the waste pipe and there is no evidence of the shower head leaking, in fact we have never used the shower. Any ideas Thanks

When you empty the toilet are you emptying the toilet flush tank as well? We had a problem with a new Pegasus 3 years ago and it turned out that the filler flap for the toilet flush tank was not sealing correct;y and rain water was filling the sustem and flowing over into the loo when we were towing. Met others with same problem quite often causing considerable water to overflow into shower. Had our flap changed under warranty, no problems since.

If you use your shower, then it is probable that the water you see is just what has been shaken out of the shower head whilst on the move

The OP has stated that they have never used the shower.

We always travel completely dry,with the taps in the open position (opened when draining the hot water tank).
If taps are closed and hot water tank not drained then water will be left in the pipes.As peviously suggested this could be water trapped in the shower.
Another possibility is water getting in from the roof light.(maybe has been left open?) We find that if the shower roof light is left open and we get particularly heavy rain the shower tray has some water left in it.

Even if you never use your shower would the water not still fill into the pipework at least as far as the tap? Could this water not stay there and be shaken out on towing?

We have exactly the same van and get the same. It seems to come from our shower head. I always fill and flush the water before an outing which includes running water through the shower. But I then drain the system before travel and have then noticed a small amount in the shower tray. One test is to empty the shower head into the sink and then replace it in its holder with the tap closed. Ours will still dribble a small amount into the tray. Filling on site involves pumping water through the shower to get air out of the system even if the shower isn't used. But we still get the dribble although after that when the system is operating on site it doesn't happen further.

Something to consider is that even if the OP has never used the shower it would be tested during a service. I would only expect water to be "shaken" out of it the once though.
