water pump

we are off to Spain for a month on monday ,so i decided to connect every thing up on the van wich is only 6 months old from new ,i noticed when i turned the taps on water was gushing out from the pump which joins the caravan wall ,so i pulled the pump away and i noticed that the O rings were stretched and fairly loose , as the pump is made by Truma i thought i would soon be able to fix it ,so i went into a caravan dealers in Swansea ,they said we dont sell them try carafit at crosshands carmarthen ,so i called them ,allthough they sell the van that i own they didnt have one either ,so i called truma ,who gave me another number to call , and all i got was an answer phone ,so i called the first number again ,and the answer was she was probabley busy ,so i called the other number again ,and i couldnt believe the answer ,he said get in touch with a caravan dealer who will order the part ,so i said what do you think i have been doing ,they just reply they dont sell them ,then he said he would pop 2 in the post ,now you would think with the caravan costing nearly £18000 that they would put some spare O rings with the pump ,so if any body there has a Truma ultraflow water pump i would get some spare O rings now

We had the swivel post that locks the pump inlet on break off.

I think it is a poor design and have had no luck finding a spare.

Luckily the pump will work with just the one fixing but if anyone knows how to get a spare please tell - no luck with Truma website.

Hi Jeremy

We had the same thing happen to us but our local caravan dealer had lots of spares in stock so I suggest you try yours. If you can't get them locally try Weymouth Caravans which is where I got mine. Good luck.
