If you mean the cable going from the car to the van then it is NOT 'mains' but 12v dc only. One 7-pin connector is for the rear road lights and the other 7-pin for switched 12v dc and permanent 12v dc. Having a single 13-pin connector is always better.

Yes, Sorry it is the connection between car and caravan. Is it worth getting it upgraded to 13 pin connector and how much would that likely be?
