Hi there

Just wanting to know if anyone had been to this site recently as we are thinking of going for a week in October and wanted some opinions on what it is like.

Many thanks!

Hi Francis we spent a week there in april, the site is very nice pitches are good, and toilet and shower block spotless.you can walk to pooley bridge easily altho will take you about 15 mins. One down side if you want a veiw you will not have one here from touring bit of site altho a short walk and the veiws are great. There is a nice pub on site and small shop, when u arrive just pick a pitch and pay at shop or pub when you are set up its very relaxed like that.

hi we stayed at the site for 10 days in July and it was great. Nice very well kept site and helpful staff toilets showers etc cleaned several times a day. You just arrive and pick you pitch and the pitches are a good size. Great play area for kids to play ball games etc and wooden playframe with swings. Shop had a lot in stock and prices was fine, pub onsite.

Hi Francis

Don't know if this is in time to be of help, but we've just returned from Waterfoot Park.

As the previous posters have commented, it's a very nice site, easy to reach, very clean toilet block, good refuse/recycling facilities. Ullswater, Keswick and North lakes all close by.

If you've not been before Penrith (closed on Sundays tho') and the Rheged centre are both worth a visit.

Hope this helps

John and Nicola
