Watermaster inlet

Hi everybody, a newbie to this site so I hope you'll bear with me if I do things wrong.

Our rather old but treasured Pageant two berth has an inlet to supply water via a submersible pump in the outside container. The pump no longer works when plugged in but is itself not faulty, so it looks as though the inlet assembly has developed a fault. It is of an old round design and I'll have to change the entire unit but cannot see it from inside the van...it is behing the basin and shower control moulding. Does this have to come out to gain access to the watermaster?

Hi Patricia

I'm not familiar with your van but it sounds like you have no 12v at the pump connection. This could be caused by many things such as a blown fuse, a micro switch on the taps or a pressure switch.

If you can't get behind the water inlet you will have to pull it away from the outside of the van (usually held in with 4 screws and a lot of mastic.

Are you sure that the pump is OK because that is the usual cause of failure.

If you keep this thread up-dated. I am sure others will have better suggestion to help you.

Thanks for that salad dodger. The pump is Ok and 12v is leaving the panel so I can only assume that the wire has either come off the terminal or broken.

The inlet is round and has no screws etc. to fix it with. Am totally baffled.

Cheers
