omg cant believe that we actually go tomorrow, our first time abroad let alone caravaning!

Ok so we drive from portsmouth to caen and have a stop over at hautes couture then travel down to camping europa.... anyone ever been to these sites before? if so what was their experience of them .

You may be better off sailing from Portsmouth instead of driving as the sea is quite deep!! We are doing the same crossing on Sunday afternoon and staying at hautes couture as well then on monday morning off to royan. The site at the port we have stayed the last two years and whilst it is ideal for a stopover but I would not want to stay for a longer holiday there. The crossing we enjoy and I do prefer Brittany to P&O.Hope you enjoy your hols.Look forward to reading your escapades when we all get back!

We're off tomorrow but only as far as Brighton. Hoping the weather holds out but we've got lots of DVDs to entertain the kids if needs must. This will be our longest outing so far at 15 nights and really looking forward to spending quality family time together. Mind you, eldest son has decided he wants to sleep in the awning so we'll not be quite so close to him!

Sorry can't comment on the sites you're staying at as not ventured abroad with the caravan yet but look forward to hearing about it when you get back.
