WEMBLEY STADIUM

Jon,

www.homefarmradnage.co.uk/facilities.html

You don't actually say where you are travelling from but we stayed at Home Farn C&C Park last year when we went to Wembley to watch Warrington in the Challenge Cup Final. The site is located at Radnage on the outskirts of High Wycombe.

Decent site for a short visit and was ideal for us as we travelled from the North West along the M40. Quick taxi ride in the morning to High Wycombe station and a train ride on the Chiltern Line direct to Wembley.

I am sure that there may well be closer sites but the site certainly worked for us, especially as it is located next door to a pub!!! so we could have a celebratory drink when we got back that evening.

The Caravan Club has a site called Wyatts Covert in Denham which is fairly close to Wembley, better still, within walking distance of the site is Denham railway station which has a direct link to Wembley Stadium.

Hi Jon

I would too recommend Wyatts Covert CC site.

We often stay there as my Father in Law lives quite near to Wembley and we stay ac Wyatts C when visiting him. It's a pleasant site in the countryside. You can see details on the CC site and reviews of the site here:

As has already been said it is withing walkable distance of Denham railway station, although it is quite a long walk and uphill on the way back. There are good road links from the site to Wembley too and, also, underground links from nearby Uxbridge or Watford.

A plus for you travelling from the North West is that it is only a couple of miles from the bottom of the M40(Junction 1). We live in St Helens and find the M40 a more pleasant and quieter drive than the M6/M1 route to the south-east.

Best wishes

Tim

Jon,

With reference to your posting on 12th May 2010 regarding sites convenient for Wembley Stadium, which site did you end up staying at?

I am hoping to go again this year for the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final but will be away at Warren Farm in Burnham that week so will be looking for a convenient site for the Friday and Saturday night.
