Will, I live in Dorset and use the site normally towards the October 1/2 term so can't say what it is like in peak periods. It is at West Bay itself and you cannot drive much further past the site before coming to the end of the coast road. The park is a mixed static / touring site and is ex Haven.

The touring field is open and tiered and the toilet block is clean but I suspect could be creaking at peak times. The club is good but again I would think very busy at peak times. The reception staff and doormen etc are very helpful. The swimming pool is also well organised and I think it is one of the better "commercial" sites that I have been to.

West Bay is handy for all of the Dorset Jurrasic coast and Weymouth and Lyme Regis are all an easy drive away.

Much as ray

+

Good entertainment particularly for under 10s

Excellent location only 5 mins from a nice pebble beach

If you have a big van avoid the top of the tiered field

-

A little too many statics for my liking

Swimming pool small

We would go back

We went to west bay at the begining of august, on arriving on site we were shocked at the size of the pitches, we managed to get our van on with awning leaving just enough room for the chairs and barby, I had to park the car elsewhere, i asked reception if there was anywhere else to park the car and they said there are a few pay and display carparks around the harbour!!!

We've just come back from West bay.

We enjoyed our holiday. The park isn't that bad.

The shower block, being the only one,was ok I've seen alot worse on so called better sites. The entertainment was good and the beer was reasonable.

The site being on a hill wasn't a problem, having a 4x4.

The only thing that let it down was the size of the pitches, they did seem a little small, but people parked their cars at the front of their awnings so there was room to put chairs outside.

We drove down to Freshwater Valley and had a look there the pitches didn't look any bigger than ours.

We would go back to West bay without hesitation.

Will
