Whale Aqua Smart waterpump query

My Pageant Series 6 has a Whale Aqua Smart on-board water pump. Just recently it keeps cutting in, very briefly, every 20-30 minutes or so. It only cuts in for 2 seconds max. but I am wondering if there is a problem. I don't remember it doing it before.

I have checked all over for hot and cold water leaks; behind the kitchen and bathroom sinks and anywhere where the pipework is exposed. No sign of any leaks or wet/damp patches.

There are some clever people who log into this forum so hopefully somebody might come up with some advice. Thanks in advance.

this is a common problem, there might not be problem, its just the way they work, I think this fitment was a retrograde step

from the outside pump but what the hell,

Please check the end of the pump if there is a filter these have leaked in the past enough to bring the pump in to top up the pressure, double check all the connections on the pipework especially the t pieces up to the sink and shower the pipes are sometimes not cut straight on the pipe and these leak at times

It's possible the pressure microswitch inside the pump is not firmly down in it's seating, this means it can move slightly underneath the plunger pressing down on it.

It's this slight movement that allows the switch to switch back on now and again, even though there is no leak releasing any pressure.

I had exactly the same symptoms on my new Fleetwood Heritage. Not having had an onboard pump before, I thought that it was normal when it came on for a second or two every hour or so. It was not until I noticed that the bottom section of my rear wall was darker than the upper half that I realised I had a problem. When I returned it to the dealer, they dicovered exactly what Paul has mentioned, there was a leak at the joint behind the shower cubicle because the pipe had not been cut straight. I am now paranoid about the internal pump and swith it off when I am not using the water.
