Whale Aqua-source

We are struggling to get mains water supply to our van, even after purchasing the Whale aqua-source(mains tap - pump hose).

We have tried to use it several times, but each time the build up of water pressure in the hose blows the connector to the mains tap right off. It has even resulted in blowing the hot water tank lever on one occaision. Are we missing something?

We have a Bailey Pageant Moselle. Do you think it is a problem with the equipment or the van?

We had one and found it totally useless for the same reason. Took it back to the dealer and got the one that fits into the side of the Aquaroll. Works great and no blowback or flooding the caravan.

I have one of these and find it brilliant, would not want to be without it. I may be totally wrong about this but I am sure I have read somewhere that this kind of connection is designed to be used where you have an onboard cold water tank which in turn feeds the hot water system. If your van does not have an onboard tank as described earlier I personally would stick with the aquaroll arrangement

Thanks very much for putting my mind at rest. I had a bad case of 'is it me!' The reply from Graham makes sence, just a shame that it doesn't suggest it on the packaging. Thanks guys.

Ian: Do you use the system with the ball ****?
