Whale pressure switch

Hi all. Have tried to set my whale pressure switch as per the book but all I get is a constant on/off of the pump no matter where I turn the setting screw. It is a new pump as the old one had seized (the old one was the same) but I am having to turn the pump on at the switch every time I need water which is a pain. I am thinking the switch is u/s. Does this mean a complete new pump socket or can I fit a new switch? Please advise.

I have replaced the pressure switch in my 1998 Avondale Avocet twice in the last couple of years and it's cost me a fortune. This time I bought and fitted (at the weekend) the pressure switch advertised in the CC magazine from Mid Service Centre Ltd. It does not chatter and it self adapts to water pressure and battery voltage, so there is no manual adjusting required. It seems to work very well with the caravan in the drive, but I need to go out for a weekend to give it a thorough trial. Hopefully there will be no more expense with the water system.

Thanks for that, I will look that up.

I have had one of those fitted for over a year now, brilliant piece of kit, easy to fit and only the very odd occasion when I have had to switch of the pump to reset but only after changing the aqua roll.

Don.
