Whale replacement hose

Noticed that the hose(s) going to the submersible exterior pump have seen better days. It seems you can get replacement hoses rather than buying a complete new unit. Has anyone done this? I can't see how to remove the hoses at the caravan end and you must have to disconnect the cable somehow to feed it through. Yours , confused.

Yes replacable hose is available from many caravan dealers, I have changed mine its easy.

It comes as a twin hose you may need a pair of stainless jubilee clips, with mine the wires are screwed into the plug, just the matter of removing and theading it through the new hose.

Thanks for the reply. Think mine could be different. It's from 1999 , there are 2 screws in the end going into the caravan. Removing these gives access to the pipes semi covered by the the strain relief plastic but the wires are soldered to the contacts. I think I could sort that , it seems the pipe for the water is fairly tight and the one carrying the wires are just the same length. Don't seem to have any wires screwed into a plug unless you are talking about the pump end.

hi, you only have to disconnect one end!!, leave the wire on the plug undo the clips and slide out the wires, re-assembly is the reverse of the strip down proceedure.

Mine doesn't have any clips that I can see. I think the design has changed since I bought it. The current version does seem different. Looks like a new one I think. Thanks Colin.
