My 2008 Eldiss with a smartflo, does not have a filter infront of it like shown on the Whale web site, presumably muck is supposed to be filtered by the filter cartridge in the aquaroll? is this common?
I ask the question as I have had problems using Loch fed water this spring, which I was told was down to muck in the inlet / outlet valves of the pump, the dealer cleaned this out, but the problem is now worse even though I have only been using town mains water since. It seems that water is leaking back past the pump into the aquaroll, causing the pump to opperate every couple of mins. At home using an aquasource pressurised input stops this problem.

I'm thinking long term if the dealer can not fix it I will install a filter and non return valve infront of the pump. Iv'e seen these on sale at a caravan shop.
