This weekend my whale submersible pump gave up on me. It came new with the van in feb. Luckily we were stopping near a caravan dealers and forty quid lighter I was sorted.

When i rang my caravan dealer he said it was a common problen with water pumps the either last years or months.......

A first for me

the pump should have been replaced free of charge due to it only been a few months old.take the receipt back to where you bought the van from and they should reimburse you and claim it back from the manufacturer on your warranty

I had the same happen to me. There are different size pumps as well so I went for the biggest and the shower is better than the one in the house now lol. Replaced FOC by the way..

sometime the bigger pump can cause too much pressure in the system and can create leaks,i thought pumps were designed for size of van,the bigger the van the larger the pump whale 881 for 2 too some 4 bth vans 4-6 berth usually have the 921

881 11 ltrs per min

921 13.4 ltrs per min

my first van i had lots of problems with leaks, especially from the inlet.after having dealer changing numerous things it was found i had the wrong size pump 921 instead of 881,this cured everything,no more leaks.yes the pressure was great but not recommended

Yeah sorry , my dealer has told me to returm my pump along with receipt and he will either give a refund or another one as a spare.

Just out of intrest, my wife suggested that someone may have swapped their faulty pump for ours you know through the night maybe, as the faulty one had a few scratches on, possibly cracks.
