We ordered one from here recently and the service was second to none and price was great too. We ordered the Isabella Bolon at 12.99 per metre, it is really supple, lightweight and has a nice finish. It is a little bit dearer than the regular one on there but very good quality.

Sorry Damian, but I have to disagree - I have never yet stayed on a site that required breathables.

Neither Club requires them.

Breathables have these aspects;

1. A few sites require them.

2. They are more pleasant underfoot - particularly on hardstanding.

3. They do kill the grass more slowly.

4. In wet weather you can find water, then mud, will come up through them.

5. They are dearer, heavier, and bulkier.

6. They are more difficult to clean the mud off the underneath.

On the whole I prefer a breathable, but I still carry a cheap impervious in case of really bad conditions.

Hello trev

I am broadley in agreement with Oldfogey comments but I have been on sites where they only allow breathable groud sheets, however I prefer a breathable groundsheet to walk on but as oldfogeys post says they are pretty useless on very wet or muddy sites, so I carry a plastic ground sheet as well for these conditions and put the breathable on top best of both worlds I think

Hope this helps
