What if payment was optional ?

Interesting that on the "do you use the showerblock ?" thread , a lot of responses are if I paid for it I want it.I wonder what the response to paying extra for the shower block would be. What about the option of not having electric hook up ( as it used to be) ? What if the electric hook up was metered ? Would that reduce the power consumption ? In todays world the one thing I find refreshing when I use the van without any "backup" is how well you can manage with so little. A 40 litre aquaroll will last four showers, an 85amp battery will provide power for at least 4 days of showering, lighting, music and even laptop power.

If I could transfer the same principals to home my fuel bills would plummet !

I bet no one turns the shower off between soaping down and rinsing, turns the tap off whilst brushing your teeth or makes sure that the unneeded lights are turned off at home.
