What is the best car to tow with??

Hi everyone i used to use a 03 mondeo, it towed my lovely Bailey ranger for a while, unfortantually the car started costing too much so it went.
I am needing some advice on a decent car which will tow but also have a big boot space for two labradours and also be able to tow a bigger caravan in later yrs, the problem i have is i only have a B license.
ideas are welcome.

Hello Mr. Bell
As you appear to be aware your licence category B, places some tight restrictions on what you can drive and tow. The nature of the wording and thus the implimentatoin of the cat B, makes it quite difficult to offer predictions of cars or caravans, as their realtive weights are mutually linked by the category.

In brief; Assuming you are considering trailers with brakes, you are limited to a combined MAM (Maximum Authorised Mass) not exceeding 3500Kg.
In addition the the trailers MTPLM must not exceed the unladen weighof the tow vehicle.
Both car and caravan manufactures often use the same model name on products produced in differnt years and to different levels of trim. This often affects weigts and load limits..
To be able to offer any sort of advice regarding car or caravan you need to know the values of the car or the caravann to b able to offer any potential advice about the other.

Get your B+E licnce and then decide what sort of caravan you may wan to buy sometime in future and buy a vehicle that will be capable fo towing it.
